Pr. Debieche Taha-Hocine is Professor and Researcher at university of Mohamed Seddik Benyahia - Jijel (Algeria) and director of the Geological Engineering Laboratory (LGG). He completed his doctoral thesis at the University of Besançon (France) and he carried out two post-doctorates in France (Cemagref of Lyon and University of Avignon). His research work focuses mainly on the quality of surface water and groundwater, mobility and speciation of chemical species and hydrodynamic and hydrochemical modeling.
He was project manager in several national research projects (PNR, CNEPREU and PRFU). For international projects, he was a member of the CMEP-Tassili project (Algeria - France) and principal investigator of INWAT - PRIMA project.

Geological Engineering Laboratory (LGG) is a research laboratory at university of Mohamed Seddik Benyahia - Jijel. It was approved in 2002. It is made up of 4 research teams: 1) mineral resources, 2) geotechnics, 3) geology and 4) water and environment. The team that is part of the INWAT project is Water and Environment. It conducts research on the hydrodynamic functioning of surface water and groundwater, the physico-chemical quality of water, mobility and speciation of chemical species, impact of water pollution on the environment and finally the modeling and integrated management of water resources.
